The company‘s Natūralus Pluoštas factory is being built according to schedule

Natūralus Pluoštas is actively building its hemp straw processing plant in Kėdainiai Free Economic Zone. The foundation of the future plant is already done, outdoor networks are in place and the metal frame construction works are underway.

„In August we plan to finish the construction of production facilities and start the assembly of special equipment for hemp straw processing which was manufactured in Belgium. We will test the equipment, do trial runs and educate our personnel to efficiently work with such a machinery“, said Raimondas Petreikis, CEO of UAB Natūralus Pluoštas.

In the near future, it is planned to install power cables and communication networks, cover the roof of the plant. Work is progressing on schedule and it is planned to open the factory in November 2018. The plant will reach its planned production capacity of the 1st stage in January 2019.

Upon the start-up of the plant, it is planned to process 30 thousand tons of hemp stalks and produce 10 thousand tons of hemp fiber. Later on, the company will increase the quantity of processed raw material up to 50 thousand tons per year and expects to produce 20 thousand tons of hemp fiber. Company Naturalus Pluostas is going to invest 8 million euro to build new and modern hemp processing plant.
