Company Natural Fiber (UAB “Natūralus Pluoštas”) expands the range of products and starts offering a variety of spun-ready, cottonised hemp fibers. 

“We took into account the needs of consumers and spinners. From now on, we offer not only decorticated but also cottonised hemp fiber” - says Audrius Blažauskas, CEO of Natural Fiber.

Decorticated hemp fiber is mainly used for the production of non-woven materials. After specially softening the fiber and retaining all the positive qualities of hemp, it can be spun on cotton machines. Mixing cottonised fiber with cotton, wool, synthetic fibers produces different thickness yarns for textiles - from tapestry to underwear. 

Hemp fiber products are valued for their naturalness, durability, longevity, moisture regulating and anti-allergenic properties. Ecology and sustainability are also important – hemp cultivation does not require pesticides. In addition, much less water and land have to be used to grow hemp fiber compared with cotton.  

Built in 2019, one of the most modern hemp fiber processing factories in Europe can process around 30,000 tons of hemp stalks annually. Natural Fiber produces high quality hemp fiber for textile and non-woven material.
